it was a good night chilling at Bukit Panjang Plaza's Macdonalds with le friends :-) even though we're always having the most regular and normal outings, it always seem to make my night complete <3

Day 7: 北京欢迎你！

woke up early to take the bus to Beijing! Finally our much-anticipated trip to Beijing yay! Though I would have preferred it if we haven't went so early cause after this we didn't have much to look forward to (though everyday in Tianjin was wonderful :-D)
first time taking the bullet train and it was real fast! but it felt like MRT speed LOL
with my seatmate: Jia En!
And we reached Beijing in like 40 mins? SUPER FAST
we headed straightaway to the heavenly temples since check in wasn't till 2pm!
the temple is super pretty though~ and look at how gorgeous the sky & weather was?
always felt sooooooo lonely when I saw couples in china awwww
with Kevin and Tzechun!
the people here were cutting queue for this praying stone (we were stepping on it) and it was sooooooooooooooooo annoying. but oh well it's their country so we can't say anything
OH BUT IT WAS SO RETARDED cause the tutors told us that it would
be super cold so we dressed warm BUT it was freaking hot on that day zzzzzzzzz.
after that was a peking duck lunch which wasn't that yummy.
followed by the next visit to the forbidden city. DAMN RUSHED I TELL YOU.

after our visits, we finally could return to our hotel for check in and it was damn good pls! WAY better than expected!!
this piglet has been to Cambodia as well as Tianjin AND Beijing! the boy gave it to me before I left for Cambodia last year and we were super awkward (awwww how things have changed)

then we headed out for some shopping as well as some free time to roam around the hotel!

we (Peixing, Justin, Kevin, Julia, Litong and I) headed to this food street for local food while the others went to some sit-down dinner place!
I REALLY WANTED TO TRY SCORPIONS BUT Justin (the only one who wanted to try) and I didn't feel like eating anymore by the time we headed back to the store. :-(
冰糖葫芦！such a childhood thing, I always fantasized eating this in China and it was actually pretty good!
OH i also tried smelly beancurd and it stank but I ate it and it tasted fine hehehe

we also queued for this tea ice cream and the matcha one was good!

anyway, after going back to the hotel I bathed, then sat at the lobby and facetimed kx till late cause the room didnt
have wifi zzzzzzz

Day 8: climbing walls and shopping disappointments
day 2 of beijing! thought that the day would be amazing but it was
too damn rushed so yeah.
had our fav meal of the day: BREAKFAST! yay love buffet breakfasts! OMG MAD LOVE FOR THE CEREAL PLS.
had a superrrrrrrrrrrrr long bus rise to Great wall of China (!!!!! BUCKET LIST) and it was just meant for sleeping cause I think it was abt 2h? or so LOL

we reached and we had to rush-climb up to the cable car place! HAHAHA THIS DOG LOOKS LIKE A MOP
frankly speaking I hated all the souvenir shops, they made the great wall of china seem way too touristy and it sucked. comeon I was hoping to see rocks and nature....... not stalls full of tourist-stuff
tour guide bought tickets for us to go on the cable car!

Mr Ong bought peaches for us to share (it was the peach season!) BUT Yumiko found a live worm in hers so ummmmmmm.
had another looooooooong bus ride to the lunch place and I got damn carsick ugh fml
AT THE LUNCH PLACE WE SAW A KID SHITTING ON THE RESTAURANT
FLOOR OMGGGGGGGGGGGG GROSS TTM SIA. there were loads of shit sia omg ewwwwww
appetite gone straightaway. the food sucked anyway.
went to ming tomb and it was BORING and yeah.

then we went back onto the bus to go to Xidan, this shopping place and it rained halfway.
Damn sad cause there were loads to buy there but we didn't have enough time sighpie I only bought 2 items lol.
BUT we took the subway back and it was so interesting! Love living the life of locals though they say it's absolutely mayhem during peak periods!

reached and we went to buy some fruits!
saw this fruit stall on the streets and the stall owners were so friendly! They even said that I looked like a celebrity (okay Justin said that they said I looked like a local comedian BUT I shall assume they said CELEBRITY HAHAHA self-denial)
we got bananas and this yellow fruit with this papery skin! (top left corner of pic). it's always damn sour on the bengawan solo cakes BUT its damn sweet in china!!!
And that was the end of our last "full" day there :-(
Day 9: heading back to reality
left our wonderful hotel room sobs :'( I love hotels

we headed to the Bird's Nest where they hosted Beijing 2008 Olympics!

we were then dropped off at this atas mall and we had to look for cheap food which was not easy at all but......
WE FOUND PARIS BAGUETTE so the dining buddies decided to have our lunch here YAY!
the food here is relatively cheaper than SG sighpie SG why you so ex?
And apparently we ate so happily......
we had cream on all of our faces hehehe :D

Chi spa! HAHAHA all of us were familiar with Chi spa as we had this case study in our final exams about the spa :D BUT I really wanna go for a spa session omg
AND after that we headed back to the train station for our train sighpie bye Beijing

bought these pao cause theyre called: 公主奶黄包 SO I MUST GET IT IT'S SO CUTE
reached our dorm and we were absolutely beat so yep!
OKAY THAT'S THE END OF MY BEIJING DAYS HEHE.
Day 10: yet another day
back to school, then we headed out to 滨江道 again!
so cute!
and we did manicures! I AM DAMN FICKLE-MINDED PLS I couldn't make up my mind for so long lol.
day 11: you eat, and you cook
yet another school day
chilled in the room before lunch hehehe
today we had our fav 麻辣香锅，烧卖 and chicken!
and chanced upon the compulsory military training for freshmen (we did our OIP project based on this!!!)
then we had culinary class
we made the naan and the hummus dip, which was damn weird hahaha!
AND I sort of successfully poached an egg with the help of Nicholas ITS SO YUMMY!
okay shall stop now I have work tmr zzz so I need to really sleep sighpie goodnight world <3
