Taiwan Trip 2015: Day 1 & 2

This blog has been soooooooo dead that I feel damn bad but hey guys I'm back!
Just conditioned my hair for the first time since years and it feels and smells fabulous (tosses hair)
HAHAHA because I can't use heavily scented shampoos and hair product (like my fav herbal essences and the rest of those amazing products) so I'm always used to my hair being a bit bland smelling.

ANYWAY. life has been rather boring recently after my 2 grad trips! First time flying to Taiwan (which i miss crazily) as well as a recent shopping trip to BKK and I loved it, as usual.

Gonna blog in bits and pieces just because I'm so damn lazy.

#鸡扒兄妹闯台湾: 24th March - 31st March

It was the first time travelling with the boy so it was really exciting. And Yongjian & Esther, heh since I've went to Cambodia with wongsie (and malaysia) so its cool. I was actually kinda worried that it'll be awkward but meh it was fun! :-)

DAY 1:

Sunflower garden!

OFF WE GO!
It was my first time taking Scoot and it was pretty alright. The flight was just full of sleeping passengers and we even opted for the more spacious seats but kx's legs barely managed to fit. I mean, he's crazy tall so oh well. #firstworldpains

and it was the boy's first time flying and HE ASKED SO MANY RETARDED QNS I ALMOST DIED HAHAHAHAHA. (he's such a cutie tho)

AND HEYYYYYYY TAOYUAN AIRPORT!

So our main priority was to get a sim card, since we were staying for 8 days and would die without 3G, but we had a really tight schedule to follow since we have already bought our HSR tickets beforehand. Luckily this Chunghua Telcom booth opened at 7am and we got our sim cards!! Connectivity was pretty decent so we were all happy!

Then we tried our luck in stretching our already-tight schedule and headed to 7-11.
CAN I JUST SAY THAT

I-LOVE-CONVENIENCE-STORES-IN-TAIWAN

I mean look at the huge selection of food?!? we practically lived in the 7-11 & family mart in taiwan HAHAHAHAHA

My kimchi+Pork onigiri which was pretty damn good. ALL FOR A DOLLAR ++

And we boarded our bus which took us to the HSR station while we tried to remain calm that we won't miss our HSR, hahaha had the first fight with kx then because he was so tense and angry about missing the train that it stressed all of us out.

BUT WE MADE IT AND THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS HEH

peace offering to the boy who persistently did not get much food "because we are going to be late."

I LOVED THE HSR. It was super steady, you couldn't even feel it moving and jerking, not like our MRTs..... and the best part was that WE COULD EAT ON THE TRAIN. like omg this is heaven.

After the smooth ride (approx 31 mins I think HAHAHA) we took a cab to Kun Hotel (which was really good) and decided to explore Taichung while the rooms were being prepared!

Welcome to the hood.

our first bubble tea and it was real cheap and yummyyyyyyyyyyyy

We were living really near to Fengchia University so the vicinity was kinda boring yet really charming, with loads of scooters and breakfast shops!

LOOOOOOVE the black & white photos just cuz they look so damn good.

and we found a park nearby so we took photos like how a tourist ought to do

the weirdo wanting to act as a beggar HAHAHAHAHA

and we got bored so we decided to travel to a shopping mall TO FIND THAT THERE'S NTH TO DO HAHAHAHAHA SAD LIFE.

so we had mac. and it was sucky.

After that we went back to the hotel, got our rooms and HAHAHA the guys showered while Esther and I fell asleep ;-)

our room has a balcony and I LOOOOOOVED IT because we got to hang our socks and shoes to dry HAHAHA. plus i love fresh air

AND OFF WE WENT to visit our first night market.

逢甲夜市
and it was the best night market of our trip, a must-visit for everyone!!!

the boys loved the squid and had this like so many times I forgot how many times HAHAHA. but it was really yummy and juicy

Fried sweet potato strips which Esther loved

Super big takoyaki!

Freaking famous spring onion pancakes which were really good but the queue was reallllllly loooooooooooooooooong.

MY ABSOLUTE FAV (AND WONGSIE'S TOO) and we practically inhaled them and no one talked to us for 2 hours afterwards cuz we stank hahahahaha)

FAV PAPAYA MILK OMGOMGOMG I NEED THIS NAO.

 鸡扒!pretty decent!

大肠包小肠!

us satisfied after loads of good food. We ran back to the hotel tho cause it started drizzling.

Accidental bokeh heh

DAY 2:

Mornings in Taichung always looked good. Tho it was really gloomy and we were kinda bummed cuz we were going sightseeing on that day,

with the best friend

Our small yet really quaint and lovely hotel: Kun Hotel!

and our driver arrived really punctually! He was really nice even though we were late

来来豆浆

FIRST BREAKFAST IN TAICHUNG WAS SO DAMN GOOD IT WAS THE BEST BREAKFAST DURING THE TRIP. You have to try the 蛋饼 & 汤包 mmmmmmhhhh

And with full bellies we embarked on the first stop of the day: Strawberry Picking!

草莓世界

this farm was really nice because they didn't charge admission fees, so you'll just pay for the amount of strawberries you pick!

this 大哥 really takes nice photos HAHAHAHA

strawberry season was almost over so the strawberries looked a little limp, but it was still fun to try and find as many perfect ones!

with the bae

I really enjoyed myself since it's the first time picking strawberries but with an attention span on like 10 mins I grew bored so quickly LOL

Next stop: 中社花市

and it started getting really cold. Like we were all shivering when the gust of wind hits us.

SO GORGEOUS. Like this is so obviously planned by me cause the places we visited are so girly and flowery HAHAHA

But hey, guys like flowers too ok. HAHAHA

Damn cheesy but whatever ;-)

THIS SEA OF RED-I-DUNNO-WHAT WAS GORGEOUS. with that swing, oh man I can see loads of wedding photos taking place here

HAHAHAHA cause we were trying to matchmake yj with either esther or xy, it was hilarious to make them shy

Ruining the romantic atmosphere the moment we stepped near the piano HAHAHA

nature is so damn gorgeous. Oh and it was so cold yongjian squatted on the ground and refused to stand when the wind blew HAHAHAHAHA. and he stepped on mud so many times #suayshit

Off to grab some lunch at the mushroom restaurant!

I think this was the best 鲁肉饭 throughout the trip, which is weird cuz this is a mushroom hotpot place HAHAHA

Frankly, the hotpot was damn bland and ex. mehhhhhhhhhhhh

finally visited the super hyped-about Lavender Cottage!

薰衣草森林

Sadly, it was drizzling when we were there and the lavender looked miserable. Oh well

REALLLLLY WANTED TO RIDE THIS but they only operate at 4:30 mehhhhhh

wrote our wishes and hopefully, they'll come true

the souvenir shop smelt damn good with all the soaps and lotions ❤O
Last stop..... I dont even remember where HAHAHA but it was boring cuz we went in too late

There was a black swan tho

and ducks

and fishes. Loads of them, greedy fishes

and us retards

And we felt so damn bad because we stretched our schedule so much that 大哥 had to accompany us till like 8pm and he didn't even ask us for extra money or appear angry. BEST DRIVER EVER if you guys need a reliable and fun driver he's the one.

If anyone requires his services, feel free to contact him at +886 926 652 666 (沈司机)

谢谢你,沈大哥!
then we went back to fengjia for more street food YUMMYYYYYYYYY

爱上了鸡腿卷!
