day 22: touring the city & birthday surprise for Felicia!
woke up really early to visit Tianjin! yay finally some time to be tourists hehehe.
super freaking sweet croissant but it's so sugary good ❤
We bused to the Shi Mansion and everyone was tired like crap AND OMG THE PLACE HASN'T EVEN OPENED WHUT so we waited outside the place LOL.
when we could have gotten more sleep sighpie.
Oh well, I remember asking Ms omgiforgothername WAIT it's Ms Yee HAHAHA. okay anyway we pestered her to ask about our project hehehe damn guai pls.
and the place opened so we visited the mansion, which was kinda huge and really pretty in a...... stony way cause the place was like so grey and woodish (stone walls and wood furniture and pillars)

OH this has an extremely interesting story. as you can see, there's this upper storey located in this hall, but the weird thing is that there's no stairs at all. So many speculate that people trained in martial arts would stand there and go up and down via 轻工 to protect their employers if there were assassins! SO COOL OMG it's so high pls

ANDDDDDD tbh I was kinda bored. not a very heritage person haha. and the place was just full of..... i dont know, it wasn't spectacular.
left the place and we saw this uncle making 吹糖!!! which is like shaped malt candy and this uncle will blow air into the candy to form the animal or shape which is really kind of gross BUT STILL COOL!
and the guide said that it was an excellent day for marriage omg I think we saw and heard at least 6 times that fireworks were released OMG SG WHY YOU BAN THIS.

some even had little parachutes flying in the fireworks damn cute pls.
anyway, we travelled to uhhhhh I forgot where this is lol. Think it was this place where this particular emperor lived for a while or something. Not memorable, not at all.
Okay but still a beautiful place.
Then we headed for lunch at the 食品街 and I bought myself a box of their local speciality: 麻花！till now it's still intact in the box and no one's eating it HAHAJA. Oh well......

And finally we went to the Confucius temple! Tbh it's not really a temple temple it's more like a school but it was still cool!

After the tours we did some grocery shopping okay wait actually I have no idea when did I do grocery shopping but since there's a photo so yeah maybe it's the day before or something I don't know but YAY I LOVE SUPERMARKETS
And yeah that was the end of our tour. Nothing spectacular, but not too shabby either. :-)
OH so after reaching our dorm, I secretly went downstairs to order a cake from the cafe (thank god they allowed last min reservations!) and yeah! It was real cool, I could choose the cake design and all and I collected it at 8pm if I'm not wrong!
Hahaha Justin and Kevin followed me cause they said it was kinda dangerous to be out alone awwww rare cases of them WONG nice to me but I remember Kevin made me angry for saying something HAHAHA. Oh well meh I rarely get angry for long.
Also asked loads of people to come to my room to celebrate Felicia's bd but poor Felicia felt damn uncomfortable cause she lost her glasses previously and relied too much on her contacts, and I guess it gave her a nasty eye infection it was really bad :-( sighpie such bad luck.
So while she slept I secretly crept out and gathered everyone and WE SURPRISED HER while she was half asleep HAHAHA DAMN UNGLAM!!!
But I'm so glad she was really surprised and I hoped she enjoyed her little celebration!

day 23: hospital
Not me, but Felicia. She gave me such a scare cause she had to go to the hospital since the campus clinic referred her there :-( I was so worried cause someone said she may not even be coming back and OMG I was really scared it could be so serious sigh. LUCKILY SHE CAME BACK SAFELY AND YEAH that's all that matters!

So we woke up real early in our formal wear for our OIE final presentation! isn't tianjin amazingly gorgeous?
It's always so cold that I have to be in my leggings and jacket when I sleep. Even then it may get cold still!

So we visited Renaissance Tianjin Lakeview by Marriott and it was gorgeous! On the outside: so meh but it's lovely on the inside!
LOL everyone was like: omg so much food wasted can we try them? (lol life of broke students)
After the cancelled trip we went to 滨江道 again and I forgot what we did I think I chilled with Felicia hehehe.

LAST DAY FOR TRMK PROPOSAL CHIONGING BEFORE ITS DUE THE NEXT DAY AT 9AM OMG everyone went into panic attack omg omg omg damn stressed at that point of time and we were all SO TIRED.

Day 28: buffet for carnivores
after submitting, it was a huge burden off our shoulders but we still had our final presentation so we were all still kinda stressed.
Went for this meat buffet with the cheena gang plus another group and it was so meh.
Not as good as what others had claimed AT ALL.

I think we went to Italian cultural street and I was super grumpy cause I hate that place it's a tourist trap full of nothing to buy.
OH though I got my portrait done! It was real cool but super awkward to sit there while others crowded around looking at us HAHA.

Day 30: LIBERATION
omg so it's our final day for presentation and guess what: felicia and I overslept (claps)
like seriously we freaked out when we saw the time like wtf omg omg omg nooooooo.
so lucky that Justin woke us up accidentally by knocking on our door (heng sia).
rushed into our formal wear and practised our presentation with the groupmates.
during the presentation we were a bunch of nerves BUT WE DID IT AND WHEN IT ALL ENDED WE WERE SO HAPPY. we were the final group so obviously we were super stressed but Ms yee's comments were real good and we were so excited cause IT'S THE END OF STUDYING IN CHINA LIKE YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!
I still remember hugging felicia and how the whole group was so thrilled ❤❤❤❤
we actually were going to italian street with the others for dinner and a drink (wild child not) so we had to be in school at 4:30pm for the shifu but felicia and i took the risk and travelled to WALMART (didn't I say we love supermarkets?)
it was our absolute first and last time taking public transport in Tianjin and surprisingly I liked it!
there was no aircon but the wind from the open windows were cooling enough!!
reached after trying very hard to ask the bus driver and commuters where is walmart in chinese LOL it was so funny! like we were saying: 为马特 and we got these blank stares. turns out walmart is 沃尔玛 LOLLLLLLLLLLLLL.
BUT WE WERE AT WALMART LIKE A CHINA WALMART SO HIPHIPHURRAY!
grabbed some food cause we were hungry and I loved the 手抓饼 （rotiprata with stuff wrapped in it!)
MAJOR YUMS.
we had some meh 关东煮 too!
and we met this shop owner who said that I was real polite and cute hehe love the aunties there!
then we rushed around like mad trying to grab everything hehehe. bought soooooooo much snacks to bring back to sg (we were searching for the cheapest pejoys and biscuits like my KITTYLAND WHICH I FOUND!!!)
rushed back BUT we were late cause the bus didn't arrive after AGES so we ran with our super heavy bags and oh god it's damn tiring plus we were in bandage skirts lol.
turns out the others were even later hahaha.
anyway, we went to italian street for some food and I had pasta!
food there is generally expensive (everything is ex pls) but oh well.
my spaghetti tasted like western fried noodles lol.
then we found this place for drinks and I got cosmopolitan! it's alr nice compared to the others' drinks which sucked!
tho some got really drunk, ummmmmm okay?
like they were so drunk they didn't even know what they were doing but they didn't drink so much lor it's kinda funny. oh well. I was just kinda sleepy and happy cause i had my cosmo plus like half a glass of um I forgot what but I knew it tasted nasty.
oh well, at least alcohol gave me a good night's sleep!
